Hello, friends! Can you believe it’s September already? Where did time go? Summer passed in the blink of an eye. But, I do not regret it, there is something special about autumn, the feeling in the air, calmness in preparation for winter. Rain. Wind. Mud.
It’s beautiful. So exciting to greet September 2018, which we only will live through once, so let’s make it one to remember! Have you anything special planned? I do- my little ones second birthday is coming and I am planning a small family gathering and children’s dance party. I am planning to read more and spend more time journaling. I will continue to declutter and will do some shopping for warm knitted jumpers and winter boots. Amongst all else, Christmas gift shopping is on my agenda, and is one of my favourite things ever! Also, I will drink more herbal teas and reorganize my walk in closet. I will be busy this September and I am looking forward to do all those things.
To celebrate September I am sharing this beautiful poem with you. I hope you will enjoy it!
Sal Amico M. Buttaci
When the last of summer treads her bare feet
away from sandy beaches, the ocean
is left solely to the creatures of the water,
and autumn hovers in the cyclic wings,
waiting to be born again.
It has been this way since time’s first breath.
A caped September glides in long brisk strides.
He waves his fall wand and suddenly
the leaves of blanched green tumble soundlessly
From the outstretched limbs of oaks and elms.
