Back to poetry. Alibi by Eunice de Souza.

June 30, 2018

Hi, friends.

I do not know how and why that happened, but I have stopped reading, writing and talking about poetry. And I love poetry, I always did, I guess, I just lost my way, for a while… But I am back to poetry books and here is the fun short one, that I would like to share with you today. And I promise, it will not be long, before I post another poem on my blog. Enjoy!

Eunice de Souza

My love says

for god’s sake

don’t write poems

which heave and pant

and resound to the music

of our thighs

Just keep at what you are:

a sour old puss in verse

and leave the rest to me.

Definitely a poem, that asks to be read twice.

If you are interested in Indian poetry, there is lovely book available here, (by Eunice de Souza and Melanie Silgardo)

Hope you liked it. xoxo
