Amongst advantages of the long term engagement, is the plenty of time to plan, dream, and try out as many dresses as you like!
We did not plan long term engagement, but life got in the way, unpredicted things happened, and before we knew it, two years passed. I do not complain, I was very busy and would not have liked to have rushed wedding. I have planned for many hours, written down my all ideas, written and re-written guest lists, ruthlessly striping out people who, once upon a time were important, but now have left our lives for good. So many things have changed and our plans about the wedding have changed too. I have dreamed about loud and noisy event, with waltz, big cake and hundred guests. I have also dreamed about quiet, intimate elopement, somewhere in Greece… I think we may settle for something in between…
I wanted to share with you my ideal look for the quiet elopement. The dress is lightweight, so can be folded with ease and fit in the small luggage, if the happy couple is planning to tie the knot abroad. This look is romantic and dreamy, achieved by lace detail and mesh panelling in the figure hugging maxi dress. I chose gold peep toe stilettos and pearls, with delicate white flower crown
I wanted these photos to have the nostalgic, relaxing vibe, the feel of entering new stage in life, with ease and understanding of a woman, who has seen the best, and the worst in her man, and has chosen him, as he is.
I hope you can see it reflected in the photos, I will allow my reader to be the judge.
If you are the bride to be, planning the DIY wedding and spending countless hours thinking about every little detail, you will know excitement about trying on the dress for the first time, it’s fantastic! I am so grateful, for this photoshoot, for the time and effort that went into achieving this effortless, beach ready look (just take of the shoes and off you go!) And for my favourite novels stacked up in the back, silently promising, that even ordinary man, can be your hero, if his heart is filled with love. And even ordinary girl, can be a princess, on her very special day, or indeed every day, if she wishes so.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I enjoyed writing it. Share your story in Comments.
